sisters

i've been thinking a lot lately about different things. one thing that has really stuck out to me has been how awesome my sisters are. i don't know if they understand how much i care about them. i have always looked up to them so much and wanted to do everything just like them. there have been so many times when they have been there for me and helped me along and im so thankful for that. i couldn't have asked for any better sisters. not only do they take care of me like a mother would but they are also like my best friends. i hope one day i can be just like them and do all of the cool things they have done. i really look up to each one for such different and awesome things. Nikki for how giving and selfless she is. Noelle for how free spirited and creative she is. And Bre for how trustworthy and non-judgmental she is. I just hope they know how much they mean to me and how i hope that i am as good of a sister to them as they are to me.

i heart horsies

speaking of horses....i did the coolest thing today. so for my classes i have to get volunteer hours with a therapeutic recreation place. so my lovely friend drew and i decided we wanted to go help out at a horse place called "hoofbeats to healing". its like a therapeutic equestrian program. kids with emotional trauma or disabilities go and learn how to ride horses. uh coolest thing ever? yeah. so i went today and it was so crazy. running through mud manure, wrangling up horses, shoveling horse manure, watering the horses, brushing the horses, walking the horses around, etc. it was awesome. one thing i learned is that you dont feed a horse like how im feeding it in the pictures above. you make an open hand. seems so obvious now. HA. its really awesome though. the horses are super in tune with the rider and how they feel. basically if you feel something, so does the horse. anywho....super cool right?
